1.83 ghz duel core. Don't know the OS yet.

Last mac I had was a 500mhz (white) Ibook. It was running OSX and was severely outdated even 3 years ago.

The macbook will be replacing my windows laptop. I'm concerned with compatability of programs that I use. I run software from my laptop to install on my WM 6.0 phone. Also, I use programs like Hamachi (logmein) to share drives on a private network across the internet. Basically I'm worried about not finding software for the mac that I can find for windows machines.

Also, if the macbook I'm thinking of buying has OSX 10.4 will it run windows virtually? Does doing this consume a lot of resources?

    thanks

make sure you get a core 2 duo, they are much better than the older core duos and also got a lot of revisions.
