I'm sitting here waiting to come back from Afghanistan (like 3 more weeks) and I finally made up my mind what I'm going to buy. 2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Gran Touring edition.

I drove one in august when I was home on R&R and loved it. The only other car I liked was the Mazdaspeed3 but the built-in nav sucks mostly due to the tiny ass screen. Plus I like the feeling of the rear wheel drive. The 10 year warranty is nice too. I cant complain for $29k new.

Anybody got any reasons why I shouldnt buy one? Trying to keep the final price under $30k (excl fees)

Best reason I can think of not to buy one is because it is a Hyundai. Hyundai may no longer = shitty quality, but their depreciation is horrible.

If you use the car for 10 years then drive it into the ocean it's a better value than most cars. :dunno:

I'll give the typical OT response: You could save up a little more money and have a supercar.

Personally, though, I like the genesis coupe even though I've never driven one. Hyundai's entry level sport cars caught my interest with the 2nd gen Tiburon. They're fun cars with a lot of options for what they are. The interiors aren't bad, the seats are pretty comfortable. Expect the interior to be cheaply constructed.

Cool. I REALLY like the styling on them, but I can't get my wife over the fact that it is a Hyundai (she's Japanese). So for right now I am waiting to see what comes of the FT-86 concept.

Id get the turbo version. 4B11 is whats in the evo's. Tons of potential. Of course its not the exact one thats in the evo x, but its still a 4B11. Theres already aftermarket for the b11, havent heard of shit for the v6. Its cheaper too!

Calm down bro. It's not like I took his words and reposted them in a different thread.

Can we not riff and let riff?

I'd go and buy one right now if Hyundai used this as an ending to a TV ad for the Genesis. Funny stuff...
