    i currently have an 867 Powerbook G4 12-inch with 640mb in it

    i really want a 15inch MBP 2.16

i guess i could settle for a MB 2.0 (fuck that glossy screen tho)

is there a major difference from MB2.0 to MBP2.0 and is there a major difference from MBP2.0 to MBP2.16?

whats worth the most for the money?

i know that the MB has integrated video and the MBP doesnt.

is that a big deal or no?

anyone know of any speed bumps or new portable releases that may be happenin in the short future? :x:

No major speedboost, that's up to you, mb has integrated video and it totally sucks.

the video card uses the computers memory instead of having its own memory chip with it.

    something like that

Integrated video is not a problem for most users. I certainly would not say that it sucks...

I wonder how it handles after effects.

If you plan on doing anything video-intensive, get the MBP. The difference b/t the current 2.0 and the 2.16 include more RAM (1x1gb vs. 1x512mb), bigger hard drive (80gb vs. 100gb), and more video memory (128mb vs. 256mb).

um yes, it's called after effects, by adobe.

It seems like a macbook would do a pretty good job at rendering but things like ram preview is also very imprtant and I don't know if the integrated video can handle it.
