I have not shot film in well over a decade, but there is a car show coming up and I think I may throw my old film camera in the bag & load it with some B&W film. I'd love to hear any tips on shooting with it. I'll probably be using the Kodak T-MAX 400 B&W film and will have it developed at one of the local camera shops I trust...

    Expose for the shadows.

    I'd usually shoot 400 speed at 200.

Do it. I've been shooting TMAX 400 a lot lately instead of digital for my personal stuff. I love it.

b&w film just has a certain something that digital can't match. I'm pretty excited about this...

    :dunno:

I'm only going w/ the TMax as it should be more available. If nothing else, I can get it through my brother-in-law.

Yeah, I only shot it when I was in a pinch because it's the only B&W film you could find around here, at $8 per roll! Next time you make an order from B&H throw a couple rolls of HP5+ on there and compare them, I think you'd like it.

I'll check with the couple camera stores here in town to see if I can get it...

I've been thinking about the checking out the Ilford, but, to be honest, the TMAX has been flawless. I have zero complaints.
