Meh, it was a fleeting thought. I would never go hunting with it. I think I'm just going to go ammo hunting today. Maybe I'll find some safety glasses for the kids. :wiggle:

Is there like a bolt action .223? I just would like something bigger than a .22 to mess around with.

I know shit about rifles. Aside from M-16's I've never even used one. I'm black bro, I didn't grow up hunting and shit. The military was my first real experience with guns. Even then it was more work then fun.

  16. There are lots of good .223 bolt rifles. The only problem is that they generally come with slower twists, limiting you to the lighter bullets. To be fair though, if you're just plinking or target shooting inside 300 yards, the lighter bullets are just as good as the heavier ones. If you're varminting then the slow twist is exactly what you want, and you can toss Barnes Varmint Grenades at the critters and watch them turn into a puff of red.

Your taste in weapons and gear is atrocious, research my friend. It can be very helpful. I second the Remington 700. Pick your caliber.

Just buy an AR since you already know how they work and would be cheaper in the long run then a 700

I didnt grow up hunting. Bought my first gun in January, I just read alot about it :dunno:

No offense to anyone on this board, but people have their own bias, so on top of opinions shared here I also read about every option available.

Makes sense. I do the same save for the fact that I've never had any interest in rifles.

So the wife and I have been out all day shopping. Came home with 2 boxes of 9mm range ammo 50 count, a brick of .22 and 2 boxes of 9mm winchester hollow points. Almost every place I went to was limiting ammo. :wtc:

Sorry, let me rephrase that. You appear to do very little research before setting your sights on weapons and gear. Then you ask for others opinions and seem to rarely if ever heed said advice. :dunno: Hardheaded?

Not true at all. I researched the SR9 and other poly 9mm's for months. In the end they're all good guns, (glocks, xds,m&ps) but the SR9 fit the best.
