i used a viewsonic before picking up my NEC multisync lcd. it was and still is a great monitor, i use it on my old pc.
price isnt half bad, try looking on www.slickdeals.net right hand column, (scroll down a little), theres a place to look for monitors and they break it down into price, type, size, etc.
whatever youre looking for they probably have it and at any price range youre looking for.

Viewsonics are great monitors, I'd say go for it.

go for it. i love my viewsonics.

19" CRT for primary and two 17" LCD's flanking it.

I dont think i could stare at a monitor that big. I'd go for a 17" LCD before i went for 19" CRT.

But thats just me, CRTs wear my eyes out

I was going to go with a 17" originally, and I still may. I wanted something with a nice display, and something good for gaming and after reading all the reviews this seems like the one for me.

19" takes a bit of getting used to, but after using mine for about five years, I can't use anything smaller.

After using LCDs the resolution benfits of CRTs just arent enough, you can really feel the difference on your eyes

Yes, this is true, you do notice the refresh rate on a CRT. However, I can't justify the expense of a 19" LCD that runs at 1600x1200, so I'm sticking with my CRT.

I have a 19 Viewsonic UltraBriet A90f+ it is basically the best monitor I've ever had. I would defently go for a Viewsonic.

Do you use photoshop or something? Or do you just like having 3megapixels of desktop space?

I just love the space. After running 1600x1200 for about the past year or so, I can't go back to anything smaller. Later this summer, I'm going to pickup dual 19" CRTs with a max. resolution on each of 1920x1440. Not sure whether I'll use the max resolution, but my desktop will be at least 3200x1200 :wiggle:
