how the hell do you plan to put that curve on the slide? are you going to paint it, or refinish it with something?

would refinish with either duracoat or gun-kote... both are spray ons. The slide already has a recessed cut there, so it's just following the already present contours of the slide.

I'd say spray all the metal silver. Keep the grips black.

I've thought about it, but I don't know... if I'm going to go through all the work of doing it, I want something more interesting.

The idea here was to do something like a negative of a sig equinox [IMG]

I do kinda like this though

so how hard is it to refinish a gun? Since it's sprayed on like paint, will it scrap off easily? Or is it like a factory gun?

stuff like gun-kote is sprayed on, then baked to cure. It's supposed to be more durable than the factory finish.

How well it lasts really depends on how well you prep the surface. This isn't spray paint we're talking about.

Those are quality markers, despite their price of 3.25 a pop.

Yah... they aren't cheap. Have a couple cool grey sets, the 256 color pack, etc. I prefer using ad markers for quick sketches, but even the cool greys have a very warm tone to them, so figured it wouldn't quite get the idea across here.

never know when your gun may get stolen and end up completely refinished and better than new a week later

Its your gun, but since you did post here giving me the idea that you want other opinions, I would say just get it done in a nice durable black finish. SIGs and bling don't go well together in my book....

This is the sexiest Sig, I've ever seen. It's a 228, but the profiles are similar. If I ever refinish my 228, it will be done exactly like this.
