GUN Thinking about buying the Ruger GP100

    anyone have this gun? I am thinking about the 4" barrel do not know if I want it stainless or blued.

    I'm going to get one sooner or later probably in .357/.38. They're sturdy although some people like S&W better for whatever reason.

    I like mine. Inexpensive, decent ergonomics, built like a tank, decent SA/DA shooting, and very manageable recoil.

    Mine is blued. Kind of wish I had gotten stainless, but that's also more money still in my pocket.

    I was looking very seriously at one, and if an awesome deal on an older Security Six hadn't come up, I would have gotten the GP. It depends on what you want it for, but I don't think it can be beat for the price.

    And go for stainless. I don't think Ruger's blueing looks particularly nice compared to a Smith or Colt.
