    Let your FFL know you are going to use them for a transfer and make sure you know all their transfer fees.

    :coold: Will do.

    Have any insight on the gun? I've used one once but don't know much more about it then that. Are they reliable and durable?

    What's the difference between the regular 92FS and the M9?

    nothing, other than the letters/numbers

    92FS = civilian version
    M9 = military version

    but they are both identical

    I hate the 92fs for anything resembling tactical use, but it is a sexy gun and durable so far. Overall a good shooter on the range. Try racking the slide in a hurry/panic. I've flipped the safety on more than once doing so. Ripped skin off my hand a couple times too. Don't care about the skin loss but it kinda pissed me off after the safety trouble. Maybe better practice would erase the issues but it isn't my gun anyway. Good range queen IMO.

    Slide mounted safeties FTL. I still can't really find any reason at all not to buy a Glock, lol. (9mm btw)

    The 92f is not the most durable gun. We see the cops shoot them sometimes at the matches. There is a pin that breaks every 5000 rounds or so. I did see one gun break a pin in the match. Gun locked up, he went to rack the slide and ended up yanking the slide right off the frame jet li style.

    I much prefer the grip of the 92 vertec over the 92 fs but I got smaller hands. It's a pretty big grip and the mag capacity is kind of low compared to say a glock.

    I do love how slick the slides are fitted to the frame though. It like glides on ice.

    I have huge hands so I think the FS would be a better choice for me.

    I doubt I will put 5000 rounds through it for a while and the pin sounds like it can be fixed pretty easily so I may risk it. But thanks for the info.

    I hate em. Ugly. Didn't shoot well for me. Not considered very reliable. Everyone I know that's forced to use one in the military hates it. Law Enforcement agencies are ditching them left/right. I can't think of a single thing that they're good at.

    Glock 17/22 work well for almost everyone.

    Glock 21 is perfect for "BIG" hands.

    STI 2011 or Para Ord "double-stack".
