I've been wanting a new car for awhile and was thinking about either a G37 or a 335i. Then I realized that if I already have a car faster than either so why not get a luxury cruiser? The 02-04 M45 is exactly that and I like the quasi-retro styling. Any issues with this gen M45 that I should be aware of? I have my eyes on two that are black/black with less than 22K on the odo.

The VK is pretty reliable and those cars have the resale value of dirt, so you should be able to find one pretty cheap. I'm not sure of any issues with the car as a whole, either, so IMO it's a pretty good buy. RWD 340HP, HIDs, heated/cooled seats, etc. etc.

I was thinking of lowering it about 1", a set of wheels and heavy tint.
