You'd have to register it as a SBR.

No forward grips either unless you SBR it.

Not to poop on things but why? All the bulk and expense of a rifle, all the power of a handgun.

Let me see if I understand the process here...

    1) Starting point is a rifle platform, designed to be fired as a rifle, and fire rifle catridges
    2) Get a bastardized version of #1, which is a rifle converted to pistol format that fires rifle catridges
    3) Further bastardization of #2, which is a rifle converted to a pistol format, that fires pistol catridges
    4) Convert #3 back into a rifle format, AND pay the government to let you do it since its an SBR.

Sounds like a plan. Post pics when done.

stop giving out bad information. you dont have to register it as an sbr for a forward grip:ugh:. its considered an "all other weapons" which will still steal 200 bucks from you to make, or 5 dollars plus transfer if its already made. there really is no point in buying an ar 9mm pistol... minus whale just get a good pistol to begin with and not a novelty pistol.

hater. i already have a badass .223 ar. i want a sbr thats accurate and 9mm doesnt lose as much to ballistics as a .223 does from a short barrel. 9mm is cheap and this looks really cool also

i want something like that but i thinking about flat earth tan. i've been wanting to built my next ar from the receiver up

Minus whale build a regular AR and just convert it to 9mm... Why no .22? You want cheap practice thats gonna be the best

if u read the 1st post, my whole interest to have an SBR. i was wondering if i could bypass registering as a SBR by purchasing a pistol AR

no, you asked about an ar pistol, then putting a stock on it. you didnt say, " i want an sbr in 9mm, whats the best way to go?" just build everything yourself. its much cheaper that way.

BATF says your not allowed to put a forward grip on a pistol.

I was wrong, but better safe then sorry.
