my little cousin just bought one, and i really like it alot. the only thing it wont do is play crazy graphic intensive games. however, for an internet/email/digital media station it is pretty much a perfect solution.

    his is the 1.25Ghz G4, 512 ram, 80GB HD.

    i say go for it.

I'm on mine now, just got it a few weeks ago and love it! Yes, it will play games like Battlefield on lower graphics settings fine. AoM plays fine, and X-Plane works fine on Med setting! Go for it!

Tiger might be shipping with purchases after today. I remember when my fiancee bought her iBook almost 3 years ago it was about a week or so before Jaguar came out and it came with the Jaguar install discs.

He sounds like he wants something to tinker with and get into OS X. It's a great machine to start off with.

As a person who edits videos daily on a month old eMac, the Mini is a great computer.. a LOT faster than the emac.

If you're going to get one, I'd say wait untill the next gen come out.
