Let's start a checklist of things you need to do to be a real brolly. As in, if you aren't doing at least this, that's why you're not jacked.

    Daily

Eat one of the following 4-6 times per day and log it (www.fitday.com www.dailyburn.com)
    - 6-8oz lean meat (one grilled chicken breast, steak, pork chop, etc. preferably grilled)
    - 6-8 eggs (combination of 12-16 whites or yolks)
    - 1 serving protein shake
    - 1 serving green vegetables

    Sleep 8-10 hours

Drink water (1 gallon or more)

    Weekly

Perform 3-5 sets of the all following exercises
    - Squats
    - Dead lifts
    - flat bench
    - bent over rows
    - military press
    - chins or pull ups
    - dips
    - Running, swimming, biking, playing some sport that involves running

Prepare 8-15 lbs total chicken breast, beef, hard boiled eggs, etc. Most likely split into two sessions per week.

    Monthly

    I got nothing.

How many people do you know who've kept an accurate food log for a year that haven't made any progress? Nothing of these things are absolutely required for everyone, but for your average person I think a log is one of the biggest things people are missing because they have no idea what they really eat.

so fatmoocow IIRC you've been posting here before I have. So what has the last 7 years of lifting gotten you as far as strength/size? Gotta be up there in strength/size after 7 years yeah? any stats? just curious, like to see what people have accomplished in so many years of training

Because very few people will be "broly" without drugs. Sad truth guys.

Not much. I have massive arthritis pain, so I'm constantly off and on. I really don't even know what my numbers are because if I lift near the limit I'm fucked for several days after. I also just came off of 5 years of traveling with an expense account (173 lbs college - 215 now)

Perhaps it's time to man up and throw up a log to see what I can do. I basically started this because I've got time to do everything perfect right now. Preprepare meals, workout in the middle of the day, etc.

i dont think fitday is crucial for those who have their diet down for some time now, ill be the first to admit that i am not one of those, which is consequently why i probably havent gained as much as i would have like to. still only about 5-6 months into serious lifting so i have some time

True, most people will never be broly(if that word still means what I think it does), but I don't think it matters that much - unless that's the only reason why a guy works out.

It's fairly important, not getting enough water inhibits muscle growth. But for the average sized person you don't need multiple gallons.

    Daily

    • Eat healthy
    • Never take a cheat day
    • have a healthy mindset, IE: not having to think about not eating that cupcake, just knowing that you shouldn't do it.
    • sleep 6-8 hours
    Weekly
    • visit the gym and lift heavy weights
    • spend some time outside
    • spend time with people that make you feel good about yourself (i know this one is kinda :greddy::mamoru:, but having people tell me that I look good or having people tell me to keep going is a real big encouragement.)
    • prepare diet/lift schedule
    monthly
    • stock up on supplements
    • pay your gym bill

I've eaten super strict and clean, and I've eaten normally, mostly decent food, lots of protein, not really caring on fat/carbs...barely noticed a difference. And eating clean fucking blows.
