I realize most fish oils are pretty deceptive in pricing. It's hard to effectively gauge how much you're actually getting out of each capsule. From my brief research, it seems that a basic indicator of a fish oil's potency is by considering the amount of EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid) it has. To further complicate things, I find that a lot of brands typically use 2 capsules as their serving size (somewhere around 2000mg, as opposed to 1000mg) but they don't necessarily have that much EPA and DHA. I bought one from Trader Joe's recently which is decent because for 1 capsule of 1100mg, I get 300mg EPA, 200mg DHA. At roughly ~$10 for 90 capsules, it's at an okay price. A lot of brands only have half this concentration. The one from TJ's is supposedly molecularly distilled for purity and to remove contaminants. Do you guys have any better recommendations? I feel that I could find something that's cheaper than this.
