it used to let you choose where to save...i always chose desktop, so i don't mind, but i could see that as being annoying

picture locations: two steps (kind of lame) (1) open in new window/tab (2) copy the URL from the addr bar

You can access the old "save as..." dialogues by holding down the option key while right clicking. I don't know why they changed it though.

There are two things that really bug me about Safari.

    (1) The fact that you can't tab to dropdown menus when you're, for example, filling out your shipping address in a form. But that's more of an OSX-wide issue. It is just particularly annoying in Safari because that's where I'd be using the functionality the most often.

    (2) The search box is a separate popup... not good at all. It should be integrated (like FF), and Safari should have the some sort of trigger key for searching (double backslash or something... other than COMMAND+F).

Really? I have 10.3.9 and I still cannot do it in any form that I have tried it in... Is there a special key-combo you're using?

Weird. I'm not getting that behavior at all. I tried an Amazon.com address form, a signup form for the NYTimes.com website, and a form on one of my own websites, and I don't get that behavior at all... So strange. Here's hoping it's fixed in Tiger.

AH! I found it. There's a new pref under the advanced pane in Safari. You have to tell it to let you highlight any object by tabbing and then it works as your describe (and as I would expect it to). Sweet!

i wish there was more options on setting pop up blocker on certain sites

  15. I wish there were some way to set file type handlers. Getting errors on every embedded WMV file is annoying.
