Really hurt... 3 days later and I'm walking with a limp. Day 1 and 2 not so bad, but today is killing me I massaged it and did body weight squats afterwards. Any other ideas to relieve? No unusual swelling or any sign of an infection. Thinking about sticking to glutes after this one :eek3:

    BTW, Vitamin B12

I'll give it a shot. Any ideas why the pain isn't actually at the spot of the injection, but more of the lower part of the muscle?

Have NO idea if this is related, but I just got cortisone shots in my back a week ago, and I was having pain on about day 3 after in places that the shot didn't go. When I asked the doctor, he said its common for other nerve roots to flare and go away after a couple of days.

Like I said, no idea if its related, but thats my .o2

sounds very familiar, mine isn't actually in the site where I injected, it's lower in the thigh. I've never had this type of pain before in any other place I've done

probably injected to low in the quad, put your hands on the side of your hips, the areas that your fingers cover, pin in there, go all the way, most do the shots to shallow, and you're gonna pay the price for that one.

when i got a shot they gave me an immediate pain killer and then a steroid to dull the pain later on down the road. Day 3 is when it started to hurt again.

I was in the upper portion of my thigh. I'm afraid I did go a little short on the needle at 1 inch, should've stuck with a 1.5 inch. I'll try the other side next time, might take a little while to recover from this one

Vitamin B12 is needed to prevent pernicious anemia- a condition in which the body can't make enough healthy red blood cells.
One important function of B12 is to aid in the production of DNA, the genetic material in all cells.
Vitamin B12 has long been known to promote normal growth and development.
Deficiencies in B12 are been known to cause nerve damage relating to loss of memory, poor concentration and abnormal sensations.
B12 supports increased energy levels and is commonly given in injection form to people suffering from chronic fatigue.

If you really aren't shooting B12, it would be a good idea not to just stick to one spot. Rotate a few spots.

I remember talking to you about when I did that the first time I pinned my quad.

It felt like it was all chillin right around my kneecap and it did not feel pleasing at all.

I'm rotating. I've mainly stuck to my glutes and pecs, just throwing in something new. I'm scared to put a needle in my delts

I pinned higher than that pic too. From my hip bone I probably pinned 6-8 inches down. I didn't really have any pain in doing this.

I could never get it right with delts. I would pin perfect and it wouldn't hurt going in or out but a few hours later my delt was fuckin rocked. It was a sharp pain and moving it any way agitated it.

i've done this  the hardest part is figuring out how to do it alone

i think i was like, leaning diagonally across my couch arm with my elbow on my desk and one leg braced up to counterbalance myself in some retarded pose when i finally figured it out :bowrofl: worked ok but way too much effort to do again

unless you're a fat fuck, 1" SHOULD be fine.

heat up the oil before hand, massage it after and do 20-25 bodyweight squats when you're done.. i never had a problem w/ quad shots.
