Anyone like to use a thicker bar to lift with?

I have noticed when I curl with traditional barbell or dumbell my bicep doesn't feel fully activated. When I curl with a 1 1/4" or 2" 20ft stick of Schedule 40 black iron gas pipe (approximately 100-150 pounds depending on size) I get a much better pump then trying to load up a barbell or EZ Curl bar to the same weight.

A do my squats right in front of the preacher curl machine, sure you have to go with a really narrow base, but at least you've got some sturdy fail bars to catch the weight, and a padded area to lean back into in case you fail. before that i'd just have to drop to my knees on failure and yell for my mom.

2" to 2 1/2" They increase over the length, makes sense since its easier to hold 2" with your pointer than it is with your pinky
