My squadron was on det in Tampa, FL last week participating in Jaded Thunder. We were there with our Super Hornets, the AF had a bunch of their toys out and the Marine Corps sent some baby Hornets along for the fun. On our last morning there we were waiting for our ride home to arrive, so we were just hanging around outside of our tents shooting the shit. The Marines showed up with all of their stuff since they were leaving too, when this guy drives his truck into a sand pit right in front of the tents. Lulz followed...

Whoops. Buried up to the rim and it won't budge. Fuck it, we'll worry about it later, the best plan right now is to get all of that annoying weight off the rear wheels.

Well, let's try to get it unstuck. We'll use these boards.

God damnit that's not working, I'll just shove the board under the tire from my position directly behind the bumper, as you floor it in reverse.

Didn't work either. At this point like 6 guys started jumping on the front bumper of their 2wd truck as he buried it further. We lol'd until they realized that was stupid.

    Aha! We'll pull it out!

That seemed like a great idea until the Chevy started pulling and that strap stretched a good 1-2 feet. A (very angry) SSGT then pointed out that the strap was only rated for 2500lbs :mamoru: In the end, it took 12-15 people pushing on the front of the truck to get him out.

Thanks to the Corps for the early morning entertainment :wavey:

This is me in my kodak moment in the field. Yeah, we definitely got the one on the left stuck, tried to ram it out and got the other one stuck to. It took 20+ guys to get out the one on the right. We had to get the buffalo for the one on the left since the struts were actually dug in and stopping forward or backward movement...

It isn't a tracked vehicle, hence it will get stuck.

it is just a big Jeep, add an additional thousand pounds of armor/air conditioner/equipment and they are very easy to get stuck
