I mean what are they doing there anyway?

Today some skinny indian kid in jeans was sitting on the seat for the ez curls and I ask him if he's using it since he's just watching the TV. He gives me a look like it's his resting seat.

Then he gets up, sits on a bench and pulls out his razr cell and talks for a few minutes.:ugh: Damn trolls

    I agree with this statement™

ive vented my opinion about this a few times. no cell phones should be allowed in gyms. people who put on cologne BEFORE they workout should be asked to leave/shower (i'm not talking about leftover scent from the day... there are people at my gym who basically shower in cologne before lifting). dont do curls in the power racks. people who wear flipflops and designer jeans while working out should be shot at the door.

i really wish there was a PL/hardcore gym around here :wtc:

There will always be those people who come to the gym wearing their raybans, polo shirt, and jeans. Just ignore them.

    watse of space.

but i dont think its the fact that hes not training hard, just the fact that he was an complete jerk. it should be a rule if someone wants to use a machine that you are currently using, let him/her work in with you.

its ppl like that kid that should be staying home being a geek playing starcraft/cs/etc

to me, watching tv for a few minutes and holding conversations on the phone isn't working out. the gym is a place of exercise, not a place for half motivated posers to get in the way

If bodybuilding magazines have taught me anything, its that REAL lifters go to the gym wearing combat boots, cutoff jean shorts, and bright orange spandex suspenders.

people who rest on equipment should GTFO, they're wasting other people's time

complaining about what other people wear, though, is retarded. who gives a shit?

well, its most annoying when you are in a crowded gym and they take up machines space that they arent using so they can - be hip at the gym. So they can go home at night and tell themselves, im a healthy person, i went to the gym today.. or so in thier social circle they can say - I go to the gym 5 times a week... In those cases, its hard not to give two shits cause they are taking up your workout space and your workout time so they can feel better about their worthless souls.

I like em, cause it just motivates me to work harder.

Still, it annoys me when people do curls in the squat rack.

i just kind of walk around between sets or stare myself in the eyes in the mirror and tell myself i'm a pussy heh... i get really amped up during my workouts and am literally out of breath after each of my working sets - sitting down isnt an option, i need to calm down the ol ticker

Hm. I still have those assholes here and there like someone today who hogged up the squat rack doing shoulder press. So I did front squats on the smith rather than light squats and I did romanian dl instead of gm's After i was done w/ my whole routine, he was still at the squat rack doing shoulder presses. I was so angry. ARGH.

Edit: Well luckily my gym is undergroundish and there is like no cell reception, so i don't worry too much about cell phone users.

I like having lazy people in the gym as long as they don't take up the equipment I need. They are beneficial because:

    1. They don't reallly wear out any of the equipment since they don't really use any equipment.
    2. The gym collects more money from them to buy more equipment with little wear and tear cost associated with said lazy people (see #1 above).
