There are linux distributions for PowerPC Apple computers

    And there are programs (such as Wine) that let you run windows applications on linux, so couldn't one get a linux distribution for say his/her powerbook, and then play say counterstrike on that? Or any other PC game?

    Read the wine FAQ: they explicitly say their goal is to get Windows binaries to run under x86 hardware using Linux.

    The Darwine project on the other hand, hopes to get the same functionality for PowerPC processors:

    Gotcha, thanks. I looked at Darwine a while ago, and it still had a long way to go.

    Oh well, I guess we're waiting.

    are u dual booting xp on your intel??

    If they release a 12inch macbook pro, I would buy that ASAP.

    of course i'm not. why would i want an inferior operating system with no drivers for my video card?
