Why would someone live in a state where EBR's have to be so brutally neautered?

So explain why people are buying these ar lowers in hope of making them assault weapons when there is no requirement for DOJ to put those on the AW list?

Actually, there was a legal requirement for them to list. It was their job to keep the list up to date. They didnt do it for 5 years, and so now they really cant without losing alot of face. However, from what I have heard, there is a possible lawsuit in the works against the AG in charge of all this because of the various letters she sent out. Also, when you are in Cali, getting your hands on an AR or AK, even in neutered condition, is great.

because the girls out here are hot, and the weather is nice, and the job market is great.

Plus, alot of us were born here.

the law abiding citizen does not buy them to build an aw. they cannot legally be aw's.

although some ar lower receivers are not listed as aw's, the rifle must still be configured in a way that still complies with sb23 while in the state. at least when one crosses over the ca border into america, the rifles then can be free to be what it was designed to be. it can have all the baby-killing features it can carry.

Ive got a couple. What is the common practice of pinning a mag.
And doesnt this seriously hinder any chance of reloading fast?
Dont you have to load thru the top then?

    that's the whole idea

they don't want people to have 30 rounds or more at call and they don't want you to be able to change mags quick

Most people who pin the mag simply use a kit that prevents the button from being pushed. Some will use a single set screw. Others take it a step further and add another set screw on top of the first. Others will take it another step and use epoxy. None of these methods are permanent...the use of a tool will allow for the magazine to drop. (Just dont drop it in Cali).

Yes you must load from the top. Sitting in a bench shooting at paper, this is no problem. Its a little inconvient, but no problem.

    :dunno:

I guess that some people are fine with moving out of a state for gun laws, but personally, I like Cali way to much to consider it right now. Maybe if I had gone to an out of state school, sure, but as it is, I know how to live in Cali, and if I moved out of state, I wouldnt even have any contacts for jobs or anything :dunno:

I guess I just realize that me and my friends are still in colleges, and half of them moved away to go to school and from what they tell me there going to stay there. The other half I know will move away after they graduate and move away to all of the big cities most probably. Me, I cant stand my annoying family, except for my grandpa, and I dont have any girflfriend or anything to tie me down or to make me want to stay.
Im kind of tired of my life here and wouldnt mind a totally new change of location. I wouldnt mind moving to some state out west with laid back gun laws, where I could buy alot of land and live atleast a half mile away from my next neighbor, or atleast their house.

I want to be able to make my own private range.
My own little slice of paradise

well, in all honesty, I was seriously considering moving out to Jackson Hole Wyoming after I get out of college. Great views, great skiing in the winter, plenty of cheap land.

but then I realized that however much I like skiing, I dont think I could deal with the constant snow.
