    These are fucking badass

$180 is steep for a Holga, but I couldn't resist. I love the White Stripes, and wanted a Holga. Plus, it's a collector's item. Only 3000 of them made. I think it's shit-hot.

180 sounds about right, I totaled a starter kit + fisheye lens + 35mm adapter (for my printing fun) and it ran up 178.00 (on the lomo site).

I'm sure you can get them cheaper, but yeah...

I'd get it if I didn't have his name on it. Don't want to carry around a "Jack" camera.

Why does 'horrendous' always seem to equal art?

Good photography is independent of any particular toolset....that means your $50K loadout means dick if you're no good. It also means a communist plastic turd doesn't make an otherwise crappy shot any good.

Don't hate on the Holga. :squint:

Jealous much? You have $50k of camera equipment and can't get good shots?

Whats that? People can take good pictures with a $30 camera? Man. You coulda saved $49,970 - if only you had some skill? Shit man. I'd be jealous too.

    Can you read? :ugh:
My point was people who whore megabuck gear and suck at using are idiots. So are people who shoot this stuff and assume everything it takes is automatically great because it was shot with an artsy camera. Great work can be done with any camera.

(For the record I have a couple lomos myself....useful in some situations)

I like the fucking look of the pics, and Im excited for getting some unique stuff from it. I still have an old 6MP D50, I dont have all the equipment, but I work for the Edmonton Oilers, and have done nationally distributed work for worldwide known companies, I know what I'm doing.

I'm not saying I'm some big successful photographer, I'm not. I'm pretty good, and I've been very lucky. But dont come in acting like Im some noob who thinks I'll get amazing pics suddenly, because the Holga creates "artsy" pics.
