And it is horrible
yeah, i just came here to post it. it did not bring the happy.
for those who want to tear up, http://www.aintitcool.com/node/33449
they have a Grey's Anatomy love interest playing The Comedian and the article suggests a low budget. The actors are waaaay too young and good looking, and most are career tv actors. The only pick that is remotely acceptable to me is Rorschach, whose pick I actually like. I hope this movie just stops now.
.... bleh... wtf
what is this Watchmen about? ive never read it. i heard its a superhero-type of literature without any super-powered people? how does that work?
Basically the first "serious" superhero story. Hard to explain, but easily one of the best comics ever written.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan can look rugged so I'm not upset about that but all the other actors/actress look too young/pretty for the roles they are going to play.
I dislike Crudup the most. He's not even a ginger like Rorschach.
iono what u talkin about, but i like ur AV. care to share? perhaps, a name?
Crudup plays Dr. Manhattan, and you can hardly hold it against him for not being blue. Actually, the guy they got to play Rorschach is the only pick I like. Crudup is a decent actor, although I dont know about him for the part but Jackie Earle Haley just may be crazy and scrawny enough to pull it off.
And it takes more than looking rugged to pull off the Comedian. It would take more than a tv actor to make an abusive, sadistic, murdering rapist seem frighteningly logical at points and even sympathetic. I do not think Morgan can do that at all.
yo Hiero who's your AV?
i don't see anything wrong with the cast with the exception of Crudup and the guy playing Rorschach, i just can't picture them in the roles. Patrick Wilson looks like a good choice for Nite Owl and he's also a really good actor.
with proper writing and directing and producing, it might surprise us all
He and Crudup are the only ones I dont hate. Check out Jackie Earle Haley in Little Children, and you will change your mind about him. He has the size, the ugly look and abilities to play the role. Casting a bunch of people in their 20's and early 30's completely changes the plot. With casting like this, it pretty much confirms my fear that Snyder wants it to be a hip, action movie when its anything but.
