Damn. Like normal I read through this in about 3 minutes. Carl's coming of age issue big time; but really little else happened or was revealed here. Solid issue but again, has to have the least content and you'd think with an issue 50 you'd get a little more.

I was really disappointed in how short this story was, and how there was almost no dialogue (why does Firefox say I misspelled dialogue. fu). The monologue wasn't bad, but honestly all they establish is that Carl is still a scared little boy and Rick isn't dead yet. The story doesn't progress whatsoever.

I think it was a pretty good issue... you really saw how the entire ordeal has affected Carl and how quickly he's grown up and matured.

Yea, he acts mature and then gets angry and blames everyone else, and then reverts to the scared little kid. Like I said, nothing progressed, you thought there would be some maturity, but it's all negated at the end and you're back exactly where you started. Well, minus three zombies.

I agree completely. After I read the issue I thought "That's it? :ugh: "

I figured issue 50 would be some sort of big event, but nothing happened.

Good issue but fuck it was short. I can't believe we're only half way through. They should be doing two issues a month considering how short they are :hs:

Super disappointing. If this was just some random issue, it would have been ok. Nothing great, but ok. A Carl centered issue was good to have, but for the big issue #50 with all the buildup thats gone alongside it? Awful. I expected a restart of sorts, but this just seems like a hold over one shot so Kirkman can have more time to figure out what happens next.

I sometimes check Kirkman's blog and he seems more centered around Invincible than TWD.

yeah it feels like hes lost his interest in TWD since 49. it was like his big climax and im sorry how do you walk away from that and manage to build a new story. I can imagine rick and carl eventually joining a new group. maybe later the rv survivors come into play. Maybe they skip forward to carl bein an adult. Or maybe they wanna age him and throw in some stories there.

I'm on the same boat. I'm also curious to see how the father and son that was in his (or his neighbor's?) house in the beginning. Kid just wanted to play some gameboy!

I just read it and :wtf:. He should've made a filler one between #48 and #49 and moved #49 to #50. #49 was such a huge turning point for the series. now time to speculate on what's going to happen. I'm guessing it'll eventually switch to the black girl kicking ass at the prison and eventually carl won't know what to do and he'll have to bring is dad back to the prison and who knows from there. :dunno: Hopefully #51 is a lot better.

I read all 50 yesterday while at work.. slow day. I haven't been into comic books since I was a kid collecting marvel universe cards and marvel and image comics but this shit had me on edge.

I realized I read about 5 years of material in a few hours though.

I don't see how you guys can sit around and wait in 1 month intervals for such short storys. Ill stick to novels and that sort but i'd be more interested if there were some hundred page comics out there.
