I ordered the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM yesterday afternoon from Adorama after asking around locally and on here which lens would work best for indoor sports type photography. I got home today to a package already. I could not wait to check it out. This thing is a monster! and heavy. It makes my XTi look even more like a toy.

dowant.jpg Hopefully your XTi is gripped to carry that monster around. How much did that baby set you back?

I think this should be a "What did brown give to you today?" thread. Or "Post your canon rebate purchase".

You're not kidding. It beats looking at my 20D, although I still love it.

Well I wouldn't go that far....

There are quite a few things of a photographic nature that I wouldn't buy.

    http://greensboro.craigslist.org/pho/688892036.html

    for example.

then again....it would be a new look! :noes:

i got the little brother 70-200mm f/4L today .. amazon shipping/receiving is on one though ...

they just put one piece of an air bag in the box. of course it popped and the box was rattling around by the united package smashers. i work s/r for a few years so i know how to package shit securely .. especially for something worth a few hundred. if it's some $20 trinket then that's fine, but camera equipment? damn.

i'm going to test it out tonight so hopefully it's ok .. :noes:
