Ok, some of you may know of this project.

    This has taken 6 months:

T76 GTQ ball bearing turbo installed
    A2A conversion (from A2W)
Custom 3" downpipe with external wastegate
Custom 3" exhaust with v-band connections for easy modification
    Custom Radiator setup
    Custom electric fan setup
    Battery relocation
    Tranny cooler installed

It may not seem like much, but pretty much all of this required some sort of customization. The turbo didn't fit, the radiator wouldn't work, the fan wouldn't work so I had to go to electric, the exhaust took a while to get fabricated, the downpipe had to be redone, fenderwells had to be modified, etc etc etc

Yes, it is dirty, nothing is cleaned or polished. But now I get to build the motor that will go in there and I might actually be able to go fast. :wiggle:

Here is what I started with:

And here is the end result

No........I am currently running at approx 7psi. It spools VERY slow being on stock heads and stall (2400 if I remember correctly). I need to step up to a 2800-3000 stall and when the Vortec heads go on.......it should run better.

Right now I'm taking it slow to make sure I have no leaks and don't go popping off hoses or anything.

Now I start building the motor (forged internals, Vortec heads, cam, 4-bolt conversion, etc)

And then after that, I get to do a 4L80E conversion on the truck because the 700R4 just won't handle the power that I'm planning on putting out. (600+ ft lbs)

Well, I was able to spin all 4 on the stock setup with just higher boost. It wasn't serious spinning, but it's still cool.

    Here's a video of it:

Bad ass Truck man. There's a guy running around town here with one, and I almost wonder if he even knows what it is.

I'm curious on those trucks, are the transfer cases the same as anything else, besides the cyclones? Perhaps like on the olds bravado or AWD astrovans :x:

Yes, the drive train in the Syclone and Typhoon are the same. The AWD setup is the same out of the Astrovans and Bravadas

My next door neighbor has one of the most badass Cyclones in the country I think. Gave me a ride and almost snapped my neck on a launch.

I think he said its a Stoke's stroker or something?

Too bad their production was so limited. Harder & harder to find a good one available without having to go way out of state. :(

Got a '99 Jimmy, but just not the same.

Patience. It took me 13 months to find another one after my white one was stolen. Picked it up for 10k :bigthumb:
