So, first of all, my parents are divorced, which lead to two of each holiday for me. Then, my step-dad decides he wants to be a dickhead to my grandmother and uncle, so now they want nothing to do with him, and won't celebrate holidays with him, aka, I'm now up to three celebrations of each holiday.

    My Thanksgiving:

2PM - Dinner with mom and stepdad
?PM - Dinner with mom, uncle, and grandmother
?PM - Dinner with dad's side of the family

God families are lame sometimes :o

I couldnt imagine what that is like. Everyone in our family for the most part comes to my grandmothers house for holidays (so they dont have to drive).

But at least you have family to spend the holidays with.

    .

Find a neutral location (the home of someone none of them have a problem with) and have thanksgiving there. Inform them that's where you will be having your thanksgiving, and, while they are invited, so are their ex's, etc, and they are expected to be civil. If they can not handle this, then they can do without the pleasure of your company.

Personally, I'd completely ditch the dinner with mom and stepdad. If he cant make nice, its his problem. You're still having dinner with your mother when you have the dinner with uncle and grandma as well, so you wont be punishing her.

Do you live with either of your parents? Perhaps host your own.

Several years ago, I quit visiting family during these two major holidays. Holidays are depressing enough as it is. I don't need to compound it.

This is why I'm flying to Canada tomorrow for two days all by myself. See ya!
