 nice. Sounds like Ford really wants to stay on the top. Imagine the same system applied to the new Cobra. High 11's off the factory floor

not really if you think about it. Its the same air to water intercooler system allready in the 03 cobra and Gen 2 Lightning. Add pipping to make it run through some sort of A/C type cooling system. It might be but it sounds like it can be done.

Instead of water in the intercooler it has the glycol and it's routed through the AC compressor to be cooled. That's it. The drawbacks are minimal for the amount of power you gain. The AC system has to be run afterwards to cool off glycol for about 2 minutes and you're ready to go again.

Wait, will that mean that the AC won't work if its running the SuperCooler at the same time?

I'm sure the A/C compressor cuts off under Full throttle. Many present cars do already :)

    That's the point ;)

    Charges under full throttle.
    A/C gets priority while charging.
Full throttle= A/C cuts off and Supercooler is in use.

    :p

This has been available for syclone/typhoon for years.. If you think Ford came up with the idea then you're pretty much mistaken... Only reason ford is using this idea is because R134-a isn't toxic if accidently set on fire...

how was it available for the sy/tys for years when they were only made from 91-93? did another company make some type of addon kit for the sy/ty then? just wondering

i read about the supercooler idea when there were some posts on the new lightning that they are designing. it would be pretty kool if they do do it, and if it works like its supposed to

Kevin Moore was the creator of Intracooler for Buick GN's , syty's , etc... he was making these Intracooler kits since back in 97.. maybe even before that... this isn't a new concept at all
