Photos from sporting events are some of my favorites. Sports photos on OT are few and faw between, usually when somebody sends a few from a recent event. Here's a place to view sports photos. Let's see what you have.

I think between me, adamlewis, and jay we usually have a decent crop of pretty good quality sports shots :hsugh:

There are a few really good sports shooters on here. Xenon, Turbodude, adamlewis and Dylan are who I tend to keep an eye out for.

Hey just curious, are the two images I posted in this thread not working? They're not on my end, but they're up on my website and hotlinking is enabled.

The reason I figured they'd use the other is because he is a new athlete of theirs and I think the current profile picture they're using for him sucks pretty hard... although, the exact image I posted isn't exactly the type of pictures they use for their profiles... they seem to like happier looking pictures.

Some of their image choices elude me, but whatever the client wants...

you gave me some tips a while ago for getting sharper images like yours

This was the pic in question:

    ISO200 f/3.5 1/50

That's straight from my Rebel, no PP.

So, what was the advice? :o

to me it looks like he was in a some sort of pace vehicle, but its all about technique and that picture shows it.

On your overheads for hockey, are you up on the catwalks shooting or is that a remote? Most of the aerials are all framed differently so are you actually shooting them or just cropping the final photos?

Also, is lighting that good in the arena or are you strobed?

    Just out of curiosity.
