What about it? I haven't been paying attention to the election results.
in the senate, dems retained all their seats, grabbed 3 republican ones, and need 3 more seats to win a majority, while the gop only needs 2 to retain senate
4 seats left:
*tennessee is close (51(R)-48(D)), but is leaning towards republican with 91% of votes in
*virginia is rediculously close, and whoever wins, it will likely be within a 1% margin, the loser can (and 99% will) demand a recount, so this one, no matter who wins tonight, may not be "finalized" in who wins, until the recount
*missouri (50(R)-46(D)) seems to be leaning towards a republican win with 64% of the wins in
*Montana is up for grabs (55(R)-43(D)), swaying a little towards republicans, but still way too early to tell (only 23% of votes in), so its anyone's game
so it seems to be that in the best case scenario, it will be a tie in the senate, but regardless, democrats are in a far enough lead to be considered winners of the house (hurrah!)
oh just to add, in another 2 years, approximately another 33 seats will be up for election in the Senate, and if it follows the trend of today, it will be a majority for the democrats
Vive La Democracy!
Grrrrr....... where are all the independants and libritarians.....
Claire has won Missouri!
Also the Stem Cell is winning, Minimum Wage Raise is winning, however the Smoking Tax isn't
Webb (D-Virginia) is ahead by 8,000 votes currently... looking good!
GWB is gonna be fux0red on any decisions he tries to make now.
Missouri went Democratic... it's all down to Montana and Virginia now, Montana has a Democratic lead of 5,500 votes.
Yeah, thank god the Dems have taken it back over, now we can finally usher back in an age of higher taxes, increased welfare spending, wide open borders, big military cuts, free needles and condoms for 10 year olds. Good times are here once again!
RUMSFELD!! (token show of cooperation, but still) ^^ yes i'm purposely ignoring that.
Well, let's see, under the Republicans, we've seen:
no decrease in taxes to write home about
wide open borders - but oh wait, let's spend billions of dollars to go build a fucking wall between Mexico and the U.S. Yeah...that makes a lot of sense - especially when we're occasionally finding 8 mile long tunnels dug under the wall/fence sections that are currently in place. So how do we REALLY close our borders? Bury a bunch of land mines between the border, and lets see who the first stupid fucker will be who tries to cross over from Mexico. Spending billions to build a fucking wall, does squat. Plant some land mines, and I guarantee you'll see a big decrease in illegal border crossings.
Military: well, the U.S. Military is having a hell of a time attracting new recruits. Gee, I wonder why? Could it be that everyday, we read about how many of our GIs are getting blown to bits everyday over in Iraq? Big Military cuts.....a lack of military numbers....you be the judge as to which is the lesser of two evils.
yea.. i didn't even want to touch on puck's words
made me feel all triggerhappy
House and Senate are in Dem controll as it stands tonight
It's A Party!!
I'll agree with that.
Agreed. That's why I say, which one is the lesser of two evils?
well i agree, even though there are the other parties... such as the libritarians.... but unless ppl get info on them, the dems and repus are going to stay in control.
so yay webb conceded, the north and south wings are now both controlled by a dem majority!
...compared to the Reds and Blues, the other marginal 'parties' are just small gatherings.
Allen (R) conceded... Webb (D) won.
 next time, i'm going to sleep before posting, lol!
