back on topic, guys like Jason McDonald should never get cut in the first place. He was like a lower rung Demian Maia. Every fight he was going to pull off an impressive sub, or get his wig split, which is pretty damn exciting to watch.

MacDonald has always been one of my favorite fighters to watch. Win or lose, he always fights his heart out.

If Anderson Silva has taught us anything, it's how much just like JMac (yes, i just made that up) should be appreciated. Fuck records, fuck belts, just fight.

Hell yeah. A guy who goes all out and tries to win, who ends up losing sometimes, is way more interesting than somebody plays it safe to squeak out decision wins.

I loved when he beat Ed Herman in his UFC debut, and he made the comment about the UFC bringing in the wrong guy to be Ed Herman's stepping stone.

His fight vs Maia was epic. One of the more exciting UFC fights I've ever seen.

I never understood the process of who to keep and who to let go. Like some cases it's pretty obvious, but Jason MacDonald was/is an exciting fighter to watch.

I wonder if they keep Jardine around just to watch his lights go out a bunch of times.

They keep Jardine in because he's part of Greg Jackson's camp and they have A LOT of the top guys.
