I wish. Thats from a new place that put up some shots over in Japan

I dont know why people say that the AF sucks. The 5D works wonderfully for me and the 5DII will only be better. If youre talking about outside focus points; I watched two shows on Ovation last night about professional photographers and there were a number of them what were doing focus/recompose in their studio with their digital Hasselblads :dunno: Its always worked for me despite all the naysayers. Maybe Im just not doing the type of photography where it presents a problem. :o

I could have told you that years ago :mamoru:

    :eek3: I bet

so about the AF. is it the same as the original 5D? or the same as the 40D? i don't see why they would upgrade one line and not the other.

and thats a terrible example of "resolving power". it looks like an enlarged 10mp picture.

Its the same as the 5D but with all new processing behind it. They didnt bother upgrading it because it already focused better than the 40/50D did/does.* *=according to many people, including Chuck Westfall, when evaluating the camera's ability focus using centerpoint in one shot and servo.

oh thats awesome then. the 40D focuses much faster than the 5D. maybe in some restricted lab test the 5D wins out, but in every real life situation i've tried its the opposite. if the new 5D is infact updated then that would be sweet.

Center point 5D beats center point on my 20, 30, and 40D with ease. Youre in the minority on this one.

Well with the sarcasm and OT-ism that goes around, I cant tell if you guys are as amazed as I am but I find it astonishing. You can view it at display size and not be able to tell how many trees are there but then you zoom in and you can see everything. Its amazing to me and I cant wait to get it.

kinda is on the blurry side if they're using some kind of L stopped down to 7.1 especially on the bottom right corner.

(I don't actually know what lens they're using but it's most likely an L)
