How nice of the company that stands to make a very sizeable profit from licensing this technology to offer up base legislation that would require its use.

What are the states planning to do with all the ammunition out there that isn't coded? I'm sure as hell not going to give up several thousand rounds of ammo for free

If this passes, say good bye to all imports AND reloaded ammo.

    Ammo price will skyrocket.

It must really suck to be a firearms/ammo maker, you have so many directions to fight battles, there just isn't :unlimitedfunds: to battle all the morans coming at you with well funded lobbists

WRITE YOUR REPRESENTATIVES AND GO TO HEARINGS INVOLVING THIS.

There was just a hearing this week in MD on a bill involving this. I wrote reps before the hearing and actually got responses from some of them thanking me.

At the hearing there were 2 people that spoke in favor of the bill and 35 people that spoke out against it. The only two that were in favor were the rep that started the bill and the person from the company above that came up with the patent to do it.

The first two that spoke against it were from Remington and Federal and both said that they simply would not make ammo for those states that enacted it because it would cost nearly 10 million dollars to make a plant JUST for that ammo. A box of .38 would cost close to $50 if they had to do such a thing and simply would not do it.

Well, just today I received another email from one of the reps telling me that IT WORKED and the bill has been removed from this session of the General Assembly because it go such a bad report from the judiciary committee that held the hearing.

    SO IT REALLY DOES WORK.

If they are doing this in your state WRITE TO THE REPS AND TELL THEM HOW BAD IT IS. GO TO THE HEARINGS AND TELL THEM HOW BAD IT IS. DONT SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING BECAUSE THAT IS DOING NOTHING MORE THAN SAYING ITS OK.

SPEAK OUT, BE NICE AND COHERENT ABOUT IT AND HELP DEFEAT THESE STUPID BILLS THAT WILL DO NOTHING MORE THAN MAKE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS CRIMINALS AND CONTINUE TO TAX US INTO GIVING UP OUR GUNS.

Awesome to see non sense bills die. I hope those maggots that came out with the patent come out of this with billions of dollars in debt.

it seems to me they are trying to weasel their way into preliminary gun ban legislation...they said they would be coding ammo for handguns and assault weapons....what about sporting shotguns and cowboy action rifles? Does that mean a winchester 30-30 will be the new stealthy murder weapon thats harder to trace?

Total bullshit....it sounds good in theory but there is a negative agenda underlying....

I love how people take logic that has failed in so many other occassions, apply it to a new situation and suddenly they're revolutionary new idea is going to be a great tool to law enforcement. "It says here that ammo is registered to Tom Thompson, but it was stolen a month ago. Shit, now it's TWO crimes to solve!"

And there isn't gun registration in every state of the nation, seeing as that it's illegal in Florida.
