I saw the previews of this and it looked really good. Will Smith seems to be able to pull of serious roles just as well as the goofy comedy ones. Weird thing about this movie is that his character in this movie reminds me of my own father quite a bit. My dad always had a "Do what I need to do to keep my family fed" attitude that rub off on me. I am really looking forward to this movie.

TPOH doesn't interest me at all. But I am a cynical guy who hates feel good stories.

I can't wait to see this movie. The trailor had me tearing up... but I'm also a baby when it comes to stuff like this.

I also think that this looks like it will be very good.

Interesting fact: His son in the movie is actually his real son.

I actually read the interview from Reader's Digest on Friday, then saw the preview on Saturday. Looks like he fits the role perfectly because he believes that he can do anything he puts his mind to. I think he's a douche who thinks too highly of himself at times. Could be a good movie.

Also says that kids should be taught Plato's Republic and Aristotle's Politics in first grade.

:ugh: at some of the replies.

I'm looking forward to this movie. I usually try to avoid the sad/sappy movies but this one looked pretty good. And I really like Will Smith.

Morpheus: that is interesting that, that is his real son, thanks

the movie was good. I loved it...not a sob story like I thought it was gonna be, but a true to heart, eye opening movie.

I saw the interview with the real life Chris Gardner on Oprah...and he's such an intelligent man. And Will Smith did a phenomenal job portraying Gardner.
