    So I was sitting at the range today dialing in the 553 on my high-dollar AR and I couldn't quit looking at a guy's Winchester 94. What an outstanding, timeless firearm. Someone post pics, I don't have one :squint:

    The winchester 1894 is nice, but not an assault rifle, imo.

    Certainly not by today's standards. But at the time, there were few like it.

    it was the best-selling sporting rifle, according to wikipedia.

    The marlin seems to be a bit better if you want to buy one now, however.

    expensive caliber that only hornady makes, plus complete unavailability of parts, plus primitive design usually is ftl, but in this case, it is ftmfw

    I want an MP43/STG44 so badly. The only thin that's kept me from buying one is it's not on the top of my list.

    And I even have 3k rounds of 7.92x33.

    Considering they haven't been made since last year yes, the Marlin is a better choice :fawk:
