Alright, let's do this! Finally got to check it out at the Sony Style store and it's amazing in person. I can't see myself going back to the older style.

Haven't been this excited about a console since the PS3 and Wii launched in 06.

I think I'll get one, but keep my modded fat pap
I'll buy for the psp go only the worthy new games, and the rest will be for download on my modded psp (if somebody hacks the 5.55 or 6.00 OFW that is)

Its really unforntunate that they werent able to keep the 4.3' LCD from the PSP1/2/3000. :( The huge screen was always what stood out for me on the PSP.

And with how the GO is designed, theyshould have made it so theres 2 shoulder buttons on the top side of the back. And why the fuck wouldnt they move the select/start buttons higher up in the middle and then put a 2nd analog stick on it.

I don't think it's realistic to add buttons and a second nub. It isn't meant to replace the current PSP, so they need to keep everything consistent. The only solution would be for developers to include two button layouts, but with two extra buttons and an extra nub it could change a game completely and Go owners could have an advantage in multiplayer games.

Unfortunately it was connected to one of those holsters, so that nobody would steal it, but I positioned my hands on it the way they'd be while playing and it felt GREAT. I have small/medium sized hands and it was perfect IMO. We'll see how it feels after extended periods of gameplay. My wrists used to cramp up with the original PSP. :hs:

That video is awesome. Maybe it's his camera, but GT looks really good in that video, much better than screens I've seen.

In the video I posted, they exit a game and resume it. Great feature

In on day 1. Finally decided on black, would have gone with white if it were straight white, but I dunno about that pearl. Only pimps carry pearl handled pistols.

If it happens, great. If not, i'll just buy one. That probably won't be until they decide to bring that ridiculous price down.

I still prefer the PSP3000 - $80 cheaper, larger LCD, and the extra size isnt that big of a deal to me.

Unless you really just have to have one, I see no point in this revision and am scared the platform is going no-where...

The processor is no faster... 300MHZ MIPS
    The web-browser is no better...
There is no added active RAM... 64MB
    There is no touchscreen... Non-existant

All you're getting is bluetooth and a smaller form factor...
Im not a fan of ipods, but I would rather get an ipod touch for that kind of dough. Way more advanced technology and at least has a touch screen.

If I were to purchase a PSP-3000, I'd be looking at about an extra $70 for a 16gb memory stick, to match that of the PSP Go, so the price seems right.

The difference in screen size is negligible IMO. Since it's the same resolution and slightly smaller, it's actually a little more crisp. It's also less reflective than the PSP-3000's screen.

iPod touch isn't really a gaming platform IMO. I've been an iPhone user since the first one (currently using a 3GS) and, while it does have games, I don't think of it as a gaming console. :dunno:

It's true, as far as features go there isn't much more here. I currently don't own a PSP though, and I prefer the Go. Once I had it in my hand, I couldn't see myself going back to the older style.

Game library might be a bit limited at first, though there will be hundreds of downloadable games up on Thursday, but I'm sure they will eventually have most/all games up for download.

I really love hearing in every thread why you're not going to buy something and then you continuing to convince yourself why not.
