Anyone else read this? It's by Javier Grillo-Marxuach and Les McClaine via Viper Comics. I was happy to see that Javy was using his experience in TV (most notably producing for Lost) to adapt the comic for ABC Family. I know ABC Family might cause people to back away, but on the other hand they've moved toward sci-fi type stuff before with Kyle XY, plus I can see how the comic would have widespread appeal. I'm definitely going to check it out.

For people who've never read it: Wiki

:bowrofl: @ at his Jonny Crossbones web-comic. Shit is very very much like Tintin, and you can clearly see the influences in the way the comic is drawn and written.

Speak of the devil, I actually just watched the premiere via download. The air date is this Monday, but the show is available for free on iTunes.

    *no spoilers*
The humor was consistent with the comic, and Natalie Morales played Wendy Watson very well, especially with her quick line delivery. About time there was a gamer girl as a main character on TV! I'm looking forward to the next episodes so Javier can showcase all the crazy monsters and aliens.

I think it's good. It was appropriate that they showed their CG effects early in the pilot, as if to say "love it or leave it." The characters and witty banter completely sold me on the show after that.

Anyone see yesterday's episode? A lot of depth was added to the characters (Wendy's dad, Middleman's football blunder, Wendy's roommate Lacy is a more complete character), and the fashion studio serving as a halfway house for succubi was great.
