    Shit, that second spider I posted, the black one- he freaking charged me. I'd poke him to slow him down, and he'd change directions and charge the camera. Its cephalothorax and abdomen together were the size of my thumb. I've never seen that kind of spider before. I'm in the Atlanta area.

    EDIT: after some research, I figured out that it's probably a trapdoor spider.

    I didn't know we had trapdoor spiders in the US, but we do. It's probably a Ravine or Purseweb trapdoor found in the souther part of the us... cool pic of something I hate!
