    THE AIR CONDITIONING!

Seriously, this car isn't fast, doesn't handle great, isn't even THAT comfortable (weird seating ergonomics), but HOLY FUCK THE AC IS AMAZING. I have never really had to adjust the bitch. It blows BALLS-FREEZINGLY cold when it needs to and then just keeps a little circulation going after the car is cooled off.

I've had some good AC in vehicles before (AC in my '94 f-150 was also great), but it was always the old school 3 knob adjustment.

Good AC in your car in Texas = WIN

I have an sc400 and love it. Not fast but still better than many of the cars you see on the road, although I don't really care too much about speed as Austin really has cops everywhere. Was able to find a used one with 44,000 miles on it and it's been fantastic as a first car.

Only real problem I had with it was the power steering pump needing to be replaced, but other than that I haven't had any problems.

I was able to get the car for a bit over 12k too, and when looking at what was available it was hard to get a car for a similar price which had the reliability, comfort, look, luxury, and overall package of the SC.

Probably other cars available but for the price there wasn't really much else out there

Lexus makes the best road trip cars ever. I did 20 hours straight in my dad's 06 LS and wasn't even stiff when I got out.

Lexus and high end toyota's (supra) have always had the most amazing ACs.

Definitely not. I don't want that shit kicking in and bogging down my engine whenever it feels like it.

ANY engine loses power when the A/C kicks in. Whether you care about losing that power is another matter entirely. And as I recall, that car isn't particularly fast without mods, so :gtfo:

I'm sure you do. Every ric -- I mean, racer -- knows that A/C and headlights and stereos and ABS drain precious horsepower. You're a smart guy, I have no doubt you're savvy enough to pull the fuses on all those useless extras when you're lining up to kick some punk's ass at a stoplight.

And you always have your pink slip handy, just in case.

Put in seats from a Supra. Lowers you about 1-2 inches. Thats what I did in my TT SC300, that was fast, and had good AC

Hmmmm I love the seats...more comfortable than I can get in others cars. That may have to do with my seat padding being a little broke down and form fitting, but with fairly new(replacement) soft leather. Also that fact the I'm only 5' 8 or 9", but it works for me.
