I have a weird body type - I believe the term is "pear shape"

Most of my fat is concentrated in the hip area, so I have a larger-than-normal ass and thighs, and my calves are pretty big as well.

Is this something that a supplement like AIFM could help remedy? Supplements aside, what is the best way to help fix this? Is it always going to be like that regardless of what I do?

I've searched a LOT on the internet for glut and thigh exercises but they all seem to be suited for women and not men. What's the problem here? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    edit- I'm 195, 6'0

I forgot to mention that I do run and lift weights several times weekly, and I have noticed a definite reduction in fat in those areas and some firming/toning just in the short time I have been doing a real routine...but I'm just wondering if it will ever get to be "normal" or if I will always have a larger-than-normal glut/surrounding areas regardless of what I do?

So you're fat and want to lose weight? Try cleaning your diet up and exercising more.

If you have high estrogen AIFM could help, according to macro, due to those fat storage patterns being "womenlike".

Really, I suggest you just lose weight. Like 25 pounds of fat or so.

Usually out of shape people have the "pear shape". Your physique will change as you continue to workout over time.

I'm not really fat, but yeah, I do want to lose weight. I'm technically overweight for my height by about 20 lbs if I recall correctly. I know what I need to do to LOSE weight, just wanted to know if this type of body shape had any particular things I should watch out for or work on specifically.

I'm aware of that. Read my thread. Re-read my thread.

    Duly noted

"Apple" shape: People whose weight is concentrated around their stomachs may be at greater risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, or cancer than people of the same weight who are "pear-shaped" (they carry their weight in their hips and buttocks). "

There is no weight you have to be when your a specific height. I'm 5'10 with about 12% bf and I weigh 185. I have some bf but I am in no weigh fat. You shouldn't care how much you weigh but instead on your bf %. I know a guy who is 5'9 and 285 pounds with 7 % bf and he is jacked not fat. At the same time I know a few people that are like 6' 225 pounds with 25% bf.
