I'd be sooooo FUCKED if it wasn't for that feature in dreamweaver. Imagine having to correct one little fuck up in 1000 pages.

...for those that don't know, basically you do:

    1. CTRL F to bring up the dialog box
    2. Find in... [dropdown] - select folder
    3. Click on the folder icon, and select your folder.
    4. Paste the wrong portion of the code into box #1
    5. Paste the right version of the code into box #2

BAM...all of those files will now get modified. Even those in subfolders

A few downsides...a) the change is permanent, unless all the files are already opened in dreamweaver. So you can't do CTRL Z if you fuck up. Gotta do mass replace to fix again. b) The setting doesn't go back. So if you are coding and a little bit later you need to do a replace only one page, and you forget to change back, you end up changing things everywhere.

double edit: Zend has that feature too... to think of all the times i've loaded all my fucking files and done a find/replace on each one.

    notepad + SCR.exe

SCR works on everything... word docs, recycle bin, etc. etc. etc. Use * for the filename if you want to edit multiple files.

Just finished making two sites for someone who gave me their designs which was made up in .doc files.

Shit was a major pain the the arse. These .doc to HTML converters produce the :hsugh: looking code ever. Hope SCR isn't good at it, there done now.:hs:
