    $175

R22M44 - These rifles were manufactured for the U.S. Army between 1943 and 1949. The M44 weighs 8 lbs. and is 43 inches in length and comes equipped with a Mossberg micrometer click receiver peep sight. Ammunition is fed through a 7 round detachable magazine (not sold with the rifle). CMP does have a small quantity of these magazines and they may be purchased separately while quantities last. Magazines are available through commercial sources. These rifles are over 55 years old, but show little evidence of use. Trigger guards are made of plastic that has shrunk and has become very brittle. Many of the trigger guards are cracked. Those that are not cracked may crack during shipment or later use. Replacement trigger guards are not available through the CMP, but are available from commercial sources. Red / Green plastic safety indicator buttons may be missing. Except for the condition of trigger guards and missing magazines, the remainder of the rifle would be classified NRA very good.
Shipping and Handling $22.95 per rifle.

If I had a CMP membership I would have already bought one. First rifle I ever shot was an M44. These have been going on gunbroker for $300+ all day long for a year.

If someone was to "accidentally" order two I would probably be inclined to relieve you of one.

By the time you buy a mag and a trigger guard you're starting to be well on your way to a cz .22 bolt rifle, I think I'd be more inclined to go for that. Not the worlds smallest difference I suppose but...

I don't think I have ever seen a CZ for much less than $400. Mossberg parts are cheap and these rifles are a piece of history.

In case anyone else wants to "run the numbers" it looks like the trigger guard is $17.55 from numrich, the magazine is $42, shipping will be 7.95. Thats $67.50 in parts shipped.

I got a quarter sized group yesterday at 50 yards with iron sights on my CZ 452. I only got to shoot one target before the day was over. Here's one with a cheap scope. Aperture sights are better for target but I love my CZ 452.

    I'm in for one.
Our rangemaster would give us the rounds one at a time.
    (we were ten years old)
I have my Bar 1 award on my wall as we speak.

The proudest moment of my life from 0 to 14 was having the rangemaster switch my target to a match target because he couldn't score me. I shot out the middle.

I still think about how happy that made me :o
