ask him if the RC51 is his first bike, if not then tell him to STFU and if so call him a squid. :rofl:use the good old biker logic that I have seen used about a thousand other places ;)

He sounds like an idiot, so you can probably bust out mag times and give them to him. In which case, the f4i is just a hair slower than him or right on par with him, depending which mag u use.

Exactly.. it really comes down to the rider. I've got an 83 KZ 550 that was said to run a 12.8 quarter stock, in mags of the time. Now put me on a newer bike, in the twisties, or that old kaw, and I can almost promise you that I wouldn't be much faster.. Don't have enough experience or practice under my belt. The bike is only as fast as it's weakest link, and usually that is the rider.

Before my wreck and subsequent slow down I used to beat up a lot of bigger bikes on my old F4.

To be honest though, straight line, the RC is not really any faster than the F4 of F4i at least best as I can recall. I'm not going to look up stats tonight. far too tired and lazy.

i bet you an f4i with a -1 front sprocket and a slip on could come close if not beat his rc-51

Too many people are believing what they read in all the magazines. 30 years ago anything over 250cc was considered big.

Dont be too Naive, I have 85 suzuki 550gs. And my 86 subaru wagon will outrun it.

it has more to do with the rider. plus i think the f4i is alot more street friendly than an rc51. riding an rc51 in the streets will have your balls burning since that thing overheats too much

I think his point was that any bike can be dangerous.. If you were to take your subaru wagon and rear end someone going 35mph. Now take your 85 suzuki 550gs and rear end someone at 35 mph... I guarantee you injuries on the motorcycle will be worse than those while you were driving the car.

Gotta love the spec sheet riders. I have a coworker who crashed his rc51, than bought a 600rr. Said he was running 10 seconds faster at jennings. Granted that might be a big outlier, but still...
