It's not a horror movie. It's slightly scary with mostly courtroom drama. I thought it was pretty good, but it was ruined by the loud bitch sitting behind me in the theatre.

that it be rated R? 90% of movies deemed to be horror or action are complete shit because they can't show any real graphic stuff or adult language/content.

I couldn't enjoy too much of the movie because of the loud ass people in the theater. Mostly what I saw there were a few pop out scary parts, but for the most part it takes place in the courtroom.

i thought it was really good... the performances were right on. (how RIDICULOUS was jennifer carpenter as emily rose?? all the crazy expressions?? she's like the jim carrey of scary movies).

I just came back from it. I enjoyed the movie, good acting/directing. I didn't think it was too scary, only one scene really made me jump, but it had a lot of good dramatic/creepy scenes.

i liked it alot. wasnt THAT scary but then again i have a high tolerance... my bf tho was squeezing my hand every now and then, hehehehe.

i like the way the movie was made... its not just a senseless horror movie that just wants to scare people, it tries to make people think... at least thats my opinion.

for me it was a lil too much courtroom drama and too little scary things... but the scary scenes rocked!!!! i especially liked the part where emily told the priest all the names of the demons she was possessed with... that was one impressive scene. jennifer carpenter did a great job as emily...

the beginning... like the first 30min are rather boring but then it gets way better... also the ending was kinda lame... like too much "bible stuff", at least for me (i'm not religious).

but all in all, really good movie... very different from what you expect when seeing the trailer... 8/10.

RockChick, you didn't like the ending? i thought it was pretty clever. granted, not your standard "horror" movie ending but this movie was more of a "thinker" than a standard horror flick anyway.

and i thought the interlacing of the courtroom scenes with the demonic scenes was well done... and made it more accessible for the easily-scared (gave them a chance to lower their heart rate :)
