So, we unfortunately started with this -
    [y]umYvv7K4Z_I[/y]

Then, thankfully, we moved on to this -
    [y]6ZZZBffx6oA[/y]

And that lead me to look forward to this -

I thought they both were great. Consider when that lundgren movie was made. It could be alot worse.

I'd like it if it were just a generic 80's action flick...
...but it didn't support what it was based off of.

I won't deny that it's true. After all, how many action stars do you know that have a PhD? Not to mention being from Sweden? (FUCK YEAH!)

But that movie stank to high heavens. Sure, as an action flick it was highly entertaining... But as a Punisher one? Hells no.

it was gritty and dark, the comics at the time were campy irc, so the future us's lucked out that it came to be based off the tone of stuff like max or nights.

As much as I loved Thomas Jane's role in the Punisher,
He doesnt have the Marvel Knights feel to him.

He turned the role down because of how "dark" it was... :coolugh:

Oh, and it's not Punisher 2.
    It's just a punisher flick.
Kind of like how the Incredible Hulk had nothing to do with shitfest Hulk.

Those new clips on the website are pretty bad- Jigsaw looks shitty, and that scene where Frank is talking to the woman and tells her where to shoot him is so emo. And that shit with him in the church and the priest telling him he'll be judged harshly by God. And then he replies with that crappy line about getting his hands on God.

i hate that they incorporated that line into the movie in that context because it comes from my favorite scene in the entire MAX series and the way it comes out was perfect.

Lundgren didn't need the skull to be better Punisher than Thomas Jane.

So I'm about to go meet Ray Stevenson. He's doing a meet and greet at my LCBS.
