Thats why I have straight pipes on the M3. I could hear it from a mile away if someone tried to steal it.

they generally don't pick your m3 up and throw it in the back of a truck though

sounds like the problem is more on the law enforcement side than the lojack side from his story...which doesn't surprise me.

A nice bike there in North Havana?

Shit nga, I'd have that in my garage or fucking chained and multi-alarmed right to my house. For determined thieves, bikes are too easy to hoist (whole) into a truck.

    1. its a tad bit harder to pick up a car and put it in a truck or something to drive away with it
    2. i doubt they even started the bike

I was joking. But I didn't even think about lifting the bike up and putting it in a truck.

yeah...modern 600CC sportbike is usually in the low 400lb area full of fuel. Two good sized people can lift it up and run off with it.

I'm thinking of putting an anchor point in my garage to help secure my R6 now. I am already looking into surveillance cams for the front and back of my house.

Just putting brake locks/chains on a bike is nothing either.
still can be picked up and put into a truck.

Also smart thieves will use a modified cycle lift or tire dollies. Put soft rubber tires on it so there's no noise. wheel it under the bike, jack it up, strap it and drag it down the street to a waiting truck/van.
They are made to move bikes around garages easily, so they work great for stealing bikes as well.

What is the early warning call? I checked lojacks website and they say nothing about it.

I want to put a self-destruct button for my bike. I would be pissed that it was stolen, but at least 1 less problem for the world. Fuck bike thieves.
Note that is why I have a cover on my bike. It's harder to target a bike if you don't know what it is. Plus I have the fork lock, and the disk lock.
Now just to wire the remote self-destruct mechanism

2 kinds of lojack services. 1 you have to realize your vehicle is missing, then report it to the police and file a report, and THEN the lojack sensor is turned on and tracked, if its still even in the car. most people dont realize its missing until several hours later.

the early warning lojack is constantly on. always monitored. if your vehicle is moved more then a few feet without the keychain sensor (deactivates the lojack when its within like 5 feet of hte vehicle so you can drive it) LoJack calls, emails and texts you within 15 minutes (always been 2-3 minutes for me) to warn you that the vehicle has been moved.

I'd put cement anchors in the floor and chain the front and rear tires down with thick, hardened chains...maybe another to the frame, if I were living in your area.

Maybe put a vibration sensor on the bike wired to a piezo.

thats my one problem, no garage. normally i just put a wheel lock on it, and lock it behind me gate. but i hadent put it away for hte night yet. so it was just sitting in my driveway. the shitty part, i was about 15 minutes away from locking everything up and heading to bed.
