this is every linear A-B-A B-A-B program ever made, rehashed by some guy with really low numbers.

:werd: Substitute chin/pull ups in place of bent over rows and it's the Novice Program in PP.

Is that much different than being small, weak, not lean and selling your body-changing services to the uninformed public? Pretty hypocritical, no?

Move deadlift to Workout A, Remove bent over row, Add power cleans to Workout B = Starting Strength. I'm doing the starting strength routine at the moment.

    Bench: 5 rep max = 200 – 40 = 160 lbs
    Squat: 5 rep max = 300 – 80 = 220 lbs
    Deadlift: 5 rep max = 400 – 80 = 320 lbs
    Bent over row: 5 rep max = 140 – 40 = 100 lbs
    Military press: 5 rep max = 120 – 40 = 80 lbs

All his beginning numbers are nowhere near what a beginner lifts. Taking 80 pounds off your 135 pound squat is stupid.
