Anyone else a big fan of Barillia Plus pasta? Stats look pretty good for a pasta that tastes good.

It's slightly tougher and takes a little longer to cook. I enjoy it nonetheless. Sure tastes better than a lot of the wheat pastas out there.

sounds cool. What kinda meal are you putting together?

I just picked up rice pasta from whole foods market. Going to try to make spagetti with turkey meatballs.

Yeah that pasta is good. Throw on some good pasta sauce with some veggies and you've got yourself a decent meal.

When making pasta at home, it is the only kind I use.

It has more protein and a lot more nutrients than your typical pasta for just about the same price. You need to cook it a bit longer, but it tastes way better than most of those organic whole wheat pasta's.
I actually prefer the protein plus to normal pasta now because the protein plus seems to be more hearty and keep me full longer and due to its tougher texture it goes better with meats.

I've been switching to whole wheat pasta. Not sure if it's Barilla Pasta Plus though, can't remember what the box said. Guess I'll have to check and then look for it at the market if it's not what I've been picking up.

i love that stuff. i'll either do meatballs in a red sauce with it, or some chicken w/ olive oil and veggies and pesto sauce . . . so good. damn, now i'm hungry.

Actually Barilla Protein Plus is still better it seems.

Dreamfields has 42g carbs, 5g fiber, 7g protein. (2 oz)

Barilla Protein Plus has 38g carbs, 7g fiber, and 10g protein. (2 oz)

With less carbs and more fiber per serving the Barilla would be better for a low-carb lifestyle.

i just had the barilla protein plus last night. Its great. I can't tell the difference with regular pasta.

Anyone got sauce or seasoning ideas that will not add much more carbs? More Protein and Fat is ok :)

I'm going to have to find this Barilla pasta. I've been eating Ronzoni Whole Wheat pasta and it's numbers are similar to the Dreamfields

    42g carbs, 6g fiber, 6g protain for a 2 oz serving.
