    all I do is squats and front squats.


    deads/power snatches/power cleans..etc get the legs going too.

    any lower body workout is incomplete without unilateral work

    unsupported single leg squats are more difficult....they hurt my knee though

    i just tip over :o. my friend is great at them though. weighs like 175 and can do 4ish reps holding an 80lb db

    what is the advantage to unilateral training besides symmetry?

    So Ceaze, if you had to choose between split squats or single leg, you would go with single leg?

    Bulgarian is Part of my current routine right now ... w/ 40lbs DB. I think I do get some looks b/c I don't think anybody does it or is up to date on its effectiveness.

    I never used to do these types of leg workouts and recently (about 3 months ago) I started introducing bulgarian split squats, high step-ups, and single leg squats into my leg workouts. It has done a lot for leg stength and flexability, especially since I currently cannot do heavy squats of presses due to a back injury.

    I read this in Men's Health a couple months back. I tried doing the single leg squats and it is tough, even with just body weight. Good exercise I'm going to try to incorporate into my regular workouts.
