That every single machine has it's RAM upgraded to at least 512MB. Kind of sneaky, no? Smart, yet sneaky because the system specs on most of the machines say 128MB and 256MB on the higher-end machines.

No, it's not free. If you want the service charge waved, you have to buy the RAM through Apple. It's like $100 for a 128MB upgrade. :ugh:

It's kind of like slapping a Turbo on a test car, but you don't get that car. You get the NA version.

hes trying to say that the demo comps have more ram than advertized. but if you buy the computer it will only come with the ram advertized and not 512 that they add in the demo comps

from the way you worded it. It sounds like they sell you a NA, and give you the Turbo. :hs:

I dont see a problem.. its called a demo model. :dunno: You dont think they could run final cut pro or other high end apps on 128mb of ram.
When i worked at the Apple Store, no one was ever confused by what came with the computer they bought.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!! YOU'RE SAYING that every Mac in the STORE has 512mb but the Mac you buy only has 128-256mb?

    Edit: Typing takes to long...

Oh, I should have said the floor models are upgraded heavily, but you only know this by browsing the system properties. :hs:

In other words they feel the need to trick people into thinking that the machines are better than they really are... :greddy:

Oh, and on top of that: They (Apple) load every piece of software on every demo model. Photoshop, Final cut, etc. Who knows what really comes with the damn machine.

    IBYouHaveAnAnswerThatShootsMeDown. :hs:

They arent advertising the demo models. They advertise the prices for the default configurations.
